Event Details

Join Liberty Director Shami Chakrabarti and other guest speakers, including Julia O’Dwyer, mother of Sheffield Hallam University student Richard O’Dwyer, at our Extradition Watch event on Thursday 29th March from 6.30pm to discuss Britain’s unfair extradition laws and Richard’s story.

Richard is currently facing extradition to the US on charges of copyright infringement for hosting a website offering links to downloadable pirate films and TV shows. He built the site from his Sheffield bedroom. His computer server wasn’t even US-based, yet he is still is set to be hauled across the Atlantic to stand trial.

Join us to find out more about the UK’s unfair extradition laws which put us all at risk.
